The SFO exam domain content consists of two areas: accounting and school business Management. This webinar will provide a wide overview of the accounting, addressing management of accounting systems and management of accounting functions. First, we’ll cover the organizational, procedural, and systematic elements of accounting including maintaining software, upholding financial data integrity, administering the chart of accounts, analyzing account records, and recording district assets. Second, we’ll discuss accounting functions ranging from payroll, billings, collections, and payments, to establishing procurement procedures, adhering to budget guidelines, preparing financial reports, and managing cash flow as well as capital assets.

 Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Understand how to utilize communications technology, internal controls, and proper documentation to prevent against fraud.
