DESCRIPTION:

School business officials play a critically key role in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging - from equitably distributing resources to students based on their individual or community needs, to providing valuable data to human resources departments so that impactful hiring decisions are made. Having diverse voices at the table is a must for systemic change to occur within school districts. This webinar will discuss equity and its role in the annual budget process and recruitment and retention goals for any school district, and also how to work toward ensuring that those goals are met.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Objective 1: Recognize a deeper understanding of the role that school business officials play in their support of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Objective 2: Examine the role that equity plays in the overall school experience of both students and staff.

Objective 3: Examine ways in which you can become an advocate for equity in your school district and community.
