GASB Update Part One

 

Description:

This is the first session of the two-part GASB Update series. Today the presenters will provide an overview of the GASB pronouncements that become effective in the coming fiscal years.  This session will also provide an overview of some of the projects on GASB’s current technical agenda and research agenda.

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Identify GASB authoritative Statements that are effective now and coming effective in the next two years.

Objective 2: Interpret the current direction of various projects (that are in various stages of due process) that are actively being deliberated by the GASB and have not yet resulted in the issuance of a final statement.

Objective 3: Identify the timeline that establishes when GASB Statements are becoming effective.
