The only constant in organizations (and life) is change.  With change comes continuous projects with many moving parts and players.  Keeping projects in motion involves effective collaboration and finding new ways to approach problems and novel solutions.  This micro bundle contains four 20-minute nano modules that will teach you the skills and roles necessary for you and your team to successfully manage change and collaboration within your team and the rest of the organization.  You'll also explore how to use critical thinking skills to tackle organizational obstacles, and effectively manage your organization's ongoing projects.

MODULE 1: Manager's Guide to Collaboration

Description:

Effectively collaborating allows groups to achieve higher than individuals, where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.  This 20-minute lesson will teach you the skills and roles necessary for you and your team to successfully collaborate within your team and the rest of the organization. 

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Define accountability. 

Objective 2: Build accountability by applying the 5 C's.

Objective 3: Define your role in collaboration. 

Objective 4: Identify collaboration structure. 

Objective 5: Understand how collaboration dynamics work. 

Objective 6: Identify how non-collaborators behave.

Objective 7: Apply techniques to keep the team focused to improve team communication. 

 

MODULE 2: Managing Change Effectively

Description:

The only constant in organizations (and life) is change.  This 20-minute lesson will teach you how to evaluate readiness, identify and counter points of resistance, and effectively communicate to successfully manage change. 

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Identify change readiness by analyzing organizational structure and culture.  

Objective 2: Identify potential conflicts and manage them by developing a communication strategy.

Objective 3: Recognize change resistance and discover tools to mitigate conflict. 

Objective 4: Define and communicate change's impact.

Objective 5: Understand how to support and coach your team to promote change.

 

MODULE 3: Managing Projects Effectively

Description:

All organizations have many projects with many moving parts and players. This 20-minute lesson will teach you how to effectively manage your projects by planning tasks, procuring resources, and purposefully communicating with stakeholders. 

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Describe the ten steps necessary to create a project timeline. 

Objective 2: Understand methods to control and adapt o changes in the project plan. 

Objective 3: Identify guidelines and techniques to estimate project time duration and resources. 

Objective 4: Identify potential risks before and during the life of the project. 

 

MODULE 4: Key Components of Critical Thinking

Description:

A changing world requires new ways to approach problems and novel solutions.  This 20-minute lesson will teach you how to use critical thinking skills to tackle organizational obstacles with self-awareness to avoid biases and blind-spots in order to systematically evaluate the situation and make better decisions. 

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Recognize the progression of the critical thinking process. 

Objective 2: Identify two type of thought processes. 

Objective 3: Explain the four types of cognitive bias that cause mistaken assumptions. 

Objective 4: Describe patterns of weak arguments and persuasion techniques. 

Objective 5: Analyze cognitive strategies that will help you get to helpful conclusions.
