Next Level Risk Management for Improved Student and Staff Injury Prevention


Description:

A district's mission guides its work. Risk management programs focusing on compliance can be strengthened through strategic mission alignment to positively impact student achievement.  This five-part micro course will review strategies to effectively identify risks, target impactful training, leverage comprehensive data analysis, and automate processes that result in positive change across your district. This micro course contains five nano modules. Each module is worth 0.2 CPE credits.

Credits:

You will earn 0.2 credits for each of the five nano learning modules in this Micro Learning Course. Certificates will be issued individually upon successful completion of each nano module.

This module provides an overview of the many aspects of a public school district’s operations. The presenters clearly articulate the steps in the Risk Management Process and examine the common components associated to risk management for all areas throughout the school district. 0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 2: Are Your Risk Management Processes and Objectives Aligned with District Mission?
Description:

This module will discuss the risk management process as it applies to aligning it with the district’s mission, vision, values, and strategic direction. It will also discuss why understanding the different perspectives at all levels of the district is important and how effective communication is critical for getting everyone in the district on board with the district’s goals and objectives. 0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 3: Aligning Risk Management Processes and Objectives with District Mission
Description:

This module examines the many competing interest and priorities the district faces as it creates a risk management process that aligns with the district’s mission and objectives. Issues that impact school administration and school safety will be discussed as well as compliance requirements. 0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 4: Comprehensive Ideas to Improve Risk Management Processes
Description:

This module discusses how to move from a reactive mode to an effective well-planned, sustainable mode when considering ideas that address risk areas to improve the Risk Management Processes. Examples will also be presented that demonstrate how short-term strategies can be counteractive to the risk management process.  0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 5: Risk Management Best Practices
Description:

This module provides an overview of the best practices used in developing a Risk Management Plan including actionable risk management initiatives.  The outcomes achieved as a result of tying the risk management program to the mission using comprehensive programs and effective, hands-off tools will also be discussed.  0.2 CPE Credits
