Remote Auditing - How to Prepare Your District for Success


Description: Technological advances and necessity continue to push the concept of remote auditing to the forefront.  Is your school district ready to meet the challenge? In this session, the presenters will discuss what a remote audit is and how it differs from a traditional audit executed on site.  Additionally, factors to evaluate in assessing your district's readiness will be provided and a school business official will highlight the implementation process executed at her school district.  Finally, the presenters will discuss common challenges encountered and how to overcome those challenges to ensure the remote auditing process is a success at your school district. This micro course contains five nano modules. Each module is worth 0.2 CPE credits.

Credits: You will earn 0.2 credits for each of the 5 nano learning modules in this Micro Learning Course. Certificates will be issued individually upon successful completion of each nano module.

Nano Module 3: How to Implement an Electronic Records Process in Your School District

Description:

This module will review the benefits of using an electronic document system. It will also explore additional capabilities of an electronic records process (ERP) system and discuss considerations that can be made in a district when exploring additional ERP system capabilities. 0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 4: Common Challenges Faced in Remote Audits

Description:

This module will identify ways in which districts can minimize the challenges with remote auditing.  Common challenges faced by an auditee in a remote audit will be explored. Common challenges faced by the auditor will also be discussed. 0.2 CPE Credits

Nano Module 5: Keys to a Successful Remote Audit

Description:

This module will discuss the characteristics that make up a successful remote audit. Effective communication tactics will be discussed in addition to the importance of establishing deadlines, setting expectations, and creating sound processes and procedures for both the auditee and the auditor. 0.2 CPE Credits
